Founding story
In 2017, after attending the Affiliate Summit, Bhagyesh saw an opportunity in the affiliate marketing and ad tech space. He launched a media company and a full-page pop ad network, quickly scaling it to a portfolio of 40 websites. But, revenue was significantly hit when Google Chrome began blocking pop-up ads.
Around the same time, Bhagyesh partnered with a client, Mr. Rabbi, who managed over 100 websites running pop ads. They both faced another challenge: securing high-quality backlinks for their sites.
So, Bhagyesh and his partner built a DIY guest posting platform, aiming to address the industry’s core issues—transparency, control, and link security. That’s how GuestPostLinks.net started.
As of 2024, the platform has 30,000 publishers, 80% of which it has direct relationships with.

Interface
Guespostlinks.net has a straightforward user interface. The platform clearly shows publisher sites with data like domain authority metrics (all the popular ones), traffic, ranking keywords, organic traffic estimate (Semrush), language, and price.
It also shows traffic distribution by country, but not the historical trend.

Overall, the interface is clean and easy to use. If I’ve to nitpick, the pop-ups are a bit annoying. Other than that, it’s a clean platform with detailed publisher metrics.
Buying backlinks
Next, I tested If I am going to purchase a guest post, I would have specific requirements and criteria in place to choose the website. As a user, I want to promote my Content Audit Tool on a truly authoritative website.
So here are my criteria for choosing the links:
- The publisher site must receive more than 1,000 monthly organic traffic. I want a Google-recognized site.
- The traffic is stable or growing. Must not be in a decline.
- Majority of the traffic should come from the US. My site and business caters to the US market, so I expect the same.
- The site should be relevant to my industry. Or in the same category. A cooking website isn’t the best place to promote an SEO SaaS tool.
- I want a Semrush Authority Score (AS) higher than my website’s, which is 24 as of today. Moz DA can be manipulated. Ahrefs DR can be manipulated. These legacy metrics have fallen prey to the “DR hackers.”
- I prefer the content publisher or platform copywriter to create content following their guidelines, using my input as the foundation.
- Lastly, I want to spend $200 or less on my backlink. Price matters.
With these criteria in mind, I set out to filter the sites.

I could filter most of my criteria. While the filter by Semrush AS option wasn’t available, I could sort the sites by AS, so it’s okay.
However, the traffic trend data is missing. I couldn’t see whether the site traffic is stable, growing, or in decline. This is one data I wish GuestPostLinks could add.

My filters gave me a list of 22 sites. Not a lot. But quality is more important than quantity here, so I’m fine with the small set of sites here.
Data accuracy
Next, I checked for data accuracy of these sites. I compared the Semrush traffic data listed on GuestPostLinks with the traffic data that Semrush actually shows.
And it looks like the data needs to be updated more frequently in GuestPostLinks.net. Here are the three sites I picked at random and their traffic figures shown in GuestPostLinks and Semrush.

The traffic data is very different what Semrush actually shows.
Take this site, for example (saijitech.com), where the Semrush traffic is listed as 34K in GuestPostLinks.net.

But Semrush shows something else. The traffic is near zero and is hit by the latest Google algorithm update.

However, I don’t think GuestPostLinks is intentionally misleading here. The other site traffic was understated compared to what Semrush shows. So, the platform needs to increase the frequency of its metrics updates.
Customer support speed and quality
To check the company’s support quality, we submitted an anonymous support request asking about how to use filters.
We received a prompt and reasonably detailed response. Appreciate it!
Public reviews responsiveness
The platform reviews on Trustpilot are decent. There aren’t many reviews to get a clear understanding.
So, while we can’t say much, we are happy with their support based on what we have experienced so far.
Founders accessibility
We love talking to founders about their products and contacted the team about their journey.
GuestPostLinks and its founder, Bhagyesh Patel, graciously responded and shared their story. I have summarized it in the founding story section above.

Bottomline
We consider GuestPostLinks.net to be a legit guest-posting marketplace despite some of its flaws.
The marketplace has a clean interface, robust filters, detailed publisher metrics, and a responsive team. However, some of the data shown about the publisher sites were outdated. The marketplace could also use more sites in the database and add historical traffic trend data for the sites. Overall, we deem GuestPostLinks as a solid option for guest posting and building backlinks.
