What is Invalley.com?

Invalley is a guest posting and link-building marketplace that also provides link-building campaigns with end-to-end services for businesses.

The platform also offers writing services, which makes the whole link-building process smoother.

Invalley was founded by Joost Smedts and Kay Evers in 2010 in The Netherlands. As of October 2024, it has more than a thousand websites listed on its platform.

Interface

The Invalley platform has a simple interface but with limited data on publisher sites. The marketplace shows domain authority metrics (Ahrefs DR and Moz DA), estimated organic traffic, and referring domains.

The platform could add more key data points about their publisher sites by showing traffic geo-distribution, historical traffic, turnaround time for the link, and more.

One standout thing I noticed is – the Invalley mentions its marketplace as “Premium Guest Posts.” I didn’t think much of it most marketplaces hype themselves up. But Invalley do seem to back it up with a curated listings of its publisher sites. There isn’t an excessive list of sites with $10 backlinks available. While I haven’t purchased the backlinks yet, the listings seem curated.

Buying backlinks

Next, I tested If I am going to purchase a guest post, I would have a specific requirements and criteria in place to choose the website. As a user, I want to promote my Content Audit Tool on a truly authoritative website.

So here are my criteria in choosing the links:

  1. The publisher site must receive more than 1,000 monthly organic traffic. I want a Google-recognized site.
  2. The traffic is stable or growing. Must not be in a decline.
  3. Majority of the traffic should come from the US. My site and business caters to the US market, so I expect the same.
  4. The site should be relevant to my industry. Or in the same category. A cooking website isn’t the best place to promote an SEO SaaS tool.
  5. I want a Semrush Authority Score (AS) higher than my website’s, which is 24 as of today. Moz DA can be manipulated. Ahrefs DR can be manipulated. These legacy metrics have fallen prey to the “DR hackers.”
  6. I prefer the content publisher or platform copywriter to create content following their guidelines, using my input as the foundation.
  7. Lastly, I want to spend $200 or less on my backlink. Price matters.

With these criteria in mind, I set out to filter the sites.

Well…

There aren’t many filters available on Invalley. Site category and traffic are the only two filters I could apply right. Even there, I am not sure whether the traffic is total traffic or organic traffic. I sorted the sites based on Price. So, counting that one too, only 3 out of the 7 criteria filters I was looking for were available.

There weren’t many sites available. But as long the quality of these sites are good, I wouldn’t mind low quantity of sites, infact prefer it.

Data accuracy

I checked three sites that fulfilled my criteria and whether the traffic figures Invalley is showing for these sites is valid.

Traffic (as of 28 Oct. 2024)InvalleyAhrefsSemrush

While there is some variance (especially for the second site), the traffic figures seem genuine. I also checked the traffic country share for these sites, all three of them are US-centric. So good job Invalley team on curating these sites!

Customer support speed and quality

To check the company’s support quality, we submitted an anonymous support request asking about how to use filters.

The company replied within 12 hours, which is about average for the companies on the market. The reply quality was outstanding – with detailed explanations and screenshots explaining the solution. We loved that!

Public reviews responsiveness

The platform does not have enough Trustpilot reviews to form an opinion.

So I couldn’t make much about the platform from other users.

Founders accessibility

We love talking to founders about their products and requested a short interview from all the rating participants.

Unfortunately, Invalley hasn’t responded to our request, so we couldn’t gather any additional insights from its founders.

Invalley alternatives

We have listed and ranked Invalley alternatives on our worldwide guest-post marketplaces ranking list. You can check them out.

To quickly compare Invalley’s listings and pricing from different sources, check out FatGrid. You can compare and find the best link prices.

Bottom line

We consider Invalley as a legit marketplace with curated premium listings, despite its flaws. The marketplace has a quality-over-quantity approach. However, the publisher metrics provided are scant, and the filters are limited – leaving room for improvement.
