What is NO-BS Marketplace?

NO-BS Marketplace (nobsmarketplace.com) is a link-building marketplace where you can submit your article to be published on other websites for PR purposes or to acquire a backlink. It also offers content and SEO services.

NO-BS Marketplace was founded by Aaron Gray and Tristan Gray in Australia. As of November 2024, the platform has an online catalog of 10K websites available for publication.

The marketplace also features in our top 20 guest-posting platforms worldwide.

We reviewed the marketplace by checking its listings, data shown about the publisher sites, pricing, quantity and quality of listings, user reviews, marketplace traffic, and ease of use. We also contacted the marketplace’s support team to gauge their support.

Interface

We created an account on NO-BS Marketplace platform to find link-building prospects.

NO-BS marketplace provides enough data about publisher sites, and yet is lacking in several data points.

The platform shows domain authority metrics and organic traffic estimates from all the major SEO tools. The interface is also easy to use and intuitive.

But at the same time, there is no info on the total traffic, traffic geo-distribution, or historical traffic trend about the publisher sites.

There is abundant data on domain authority metrics and yet so little data on traffic.

Overall, the platform could improve the data and metrics (especially the traffic data) it provides about its listed sites.

Buying Backlinks

While it’s easy to list what data points are available and what aren’t, a better way to look at it is from. link-buyer’s perspective. As a customer, I want to promote my Content Audit Tool on a truly authoritative website. So, here’s what I am looking for when building a link:

1. The publisher site should have at least 1,000 monthly visits. Traffic is the first filter I look for.
2. The traffic should not be tanking. A declining traffic trend is a no-go for me. A stable or better, growing traffic is preferable.
3. A majority of the traffic should come from the US. My target audience is from the US.
4. The site should be somewhat related to my industry. I am promoting my SEO SaaS tool. So, a relevant category is important.
5. The site’s Semrush AS should be higher than my site (which is 24 at the time I am writing this). Other metrics are not reliable, and “DR hackers” inflate them easily. Semrush AS is the one I trust.
6. I prefer the content publisher or platform copywriter to create content following their guidelines, using my input as the foundation.
7. The last filter is price. The backlink should cost less than $200.

Now, all I am checking now on the platform is how easily can I filter and find sites fulfilling my seven criteria.

From the filters tab, I could clearly filter for three criteria: category, price, and organic traffic (Semrush).

Two criteria—country and domain authority filters—are in place. But they are not perfect. Hosting in the US does not guarantee the site’s major traffic location in the US, and Semrush AS is missing from the available domain authority metrics.

Next, I looked at the filtered sites and if there were more data points provided that were missing in the filter, like, traffic trend and traffic share by country. Unfortunately both were missing.

Data accuracy

I also checked the data accuracy on these guest-post platforms.

Since NO-BS Marketplace pulls data from SEO tools and links to the tool directly, I assumed it would be correct.

However, it seems NO-BS Marketplace needs to update its data frequency. For the site above, the traffic is 35K according to Semrush and 98K according to Ahrefs. Yet, when I check Semrush, the traffic figures are completely different.

Semrush shows the site traffic to be 111.9K, with 49K coming from the US. Far different from the 35K shown on the platform.

And Ahrefs shows 97k, which is almost the same as shown on the marketplace (98K).

The data isn’t intentionally wrong per se, but the platform needs to update it much more frequently. Especially with Semrush.

Customer support speed and quality

Unfortunately, I could not find any reviews about NO-BS Marketplace on Trustpilot or other review platforms.

But on the bright side, when we contacted their support team, their reply was speedy and detailed. It was a helpful reply. Their support team is responsive.

Founders accessibility

We love talking to founders about their products and requested a short interview from all the rating participants.

Unfortunately, NO-BS Marketplace declined our request, so we couldn’t gather any additional insights from its founders.

However, Aaron Gray and Tristan Gray, the founders of NO-BS Marketplace, are well-known in the SEO community and hold a solid professional reputation.
